Y FM is the original youth channel which initially introduced the art of operating
the DJ Console for 24 hours continuously to mix hip hop, RNB, BANGRA, Reggae,
Sinhala, Tamil, English and Hindi music.

With the expansion of our channel it was observed that there are many talented
youngsters who can DJ and are willing to accept challenges.

Therefore we believe we can give such youngsters a challenge and an opportunity
to DJ through the Y FM DJ Battle.

Participation of Competitors

Initially listeners should send an SMS to 7788 and register themselves. Thereafter we will be inviting the registered listeners to the station for an audition.

The short-listed listeners out of the above mentioned audition will be made competitors to this competition. The competitors who challenge the best against the Y FM DJ’s will receive an award and gift prizes.
